Data Collection
DarkMan does not collect, transmit, or store any personal user data on external servers.
The extension operates entirely within your local browser. The only data it handles are user preference settings, stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage:
- Dark mode toggle state (on/off per website)
- Visual adjustment values (invert, hue-rotate, brightness, contrast)
- Toggles for image, video, and iframe color inversion
- Site-specific blacklist entries
- Language preference (Chinese / English) for the popup panel
No browsing history, page content, form data, cookies, or personally identifiable information (PII) is ever accessed, collected, or stored by DarkMan.

Data Usage & Purposes
All user preferences stored in localStorage are used exclusively for the following in-browser purposes:
- Applying and remembering dark mode settings per website
- Rendering the popup control panel with user's saved configuration
- Determining whether to skip dark mode on sites that are already dark
No data is used for analytics, advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose. There are no tracking scripts, no analytics SDKs, and no telemetry of any kind embedded in the extension.

Data Sharing & Third Parties
DarkMan shares no data with any third party.
The extension has no external network requests, no server-side components, no analytics integrations, and no third-party libraries that transmit data. All processing occurs locally within the user's browser.

Data Storage & Security
All preference data is stored in the browser's localStorage under keys prefixed with darkman_. This data:
- Never leaves the user's device
- Is isolated per website domain by the browser's same-origin policy
- Can be cleared at any time via browser settings or by uninstalling the extension
DarkMan implements no external data transmission, encryption, or server-side storage, as no such operations are required for the extension to function.

User Rights & Control
As all data remains under the user's full control within their own browser, users have complete autonomy:
- Access — Open the extension popup to view current settings at any time
- Modify — All sliders and toggles in the control panel update preferences instantly
- Delete — Use the browser's developer tools to clear
darkman_*keys from localStorage, or uninstall the extension to remove all stored data
用户权利与控制

Children's Privacy
DarkMan does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13, as it does not collect personal information from any user. The extension is a utility tool suitable for all ages and contains no age-restricted content or features.
